Bristol is known for being a vibrant and exciting city and in Summer, this city really comes alive! Whether it be a quiet evening drink in the sun or attending one of the many festivals that are going on, there is something for everyone.
Known for it’s graffiti art and infamously, Banksy’s creations which can be seen all over the city, a great way to spend an afternoon is by going on a self-guided walking tour of his work as well as taking in the sights of this fabulous city. With new artwork cropping up on a frequent basis, even if you’ve been to Bristol before, there’s bound to be something new this time around, especially as the Upfest Urban Paint Festival having just taken place, celebrating and creating new graffiti art!
From contemporary to traditional; Bristol’s many festivals cover a multitude of attractions. The Bristol Shakespeare Festival is an annual event hosting performances and events inspired by the playwrite in unusual spaces across Bristol and they have a vast array of workshops and theatre productions taking place to celebrate Shakespeare’s work.
The many restaurants and bars in the city are kept busy in the summer, with new ones opening all the time.
