So your stay in PREMIER SUITES PLUS self-serviced apartments in Ballsbridge Dublin is booked, but you’re not sure what to do? Then we are here to help! Ballsbridge is a very family-friendly area within walking distance of plenty of activities to keep children and adults alike occupied.
Herbert Park
Herbert Park is a public park a ten-minute stroll down the road, complete with a children’s playground, duck pond, formal gardens, and 32 acres for the kids to run around in. There is the Complete Food Market every Sunday in Herbert Park from 11 am – 4 pm with stalls showcasing food from around the world. Check out their Facebook page for more details..
Pembroke Library
The Pembroke Library in Ballsbridge is a popular option when the weather is gloomy outside. Just a five minute walk along Merrion Road and a left turn on Anglesea Road. It is open Monday to Saturday (times vary) with junior book club, toddler song & rhyme, and children’s activities. There is, of course, plenty of reading material for adults to enjoy too!
Sandymount Strand
Just twenty minutes around the corner and there is Sandymount village with a good mix of restaurants and pubs and its very own beach (well… we say beach… more like a strip of sand). It is very popular with walkers. We have also heard rumours that the ice cream van visits during the summer… There is a walk from the hotel all the way to Poolbeg Lighthouse (a distance of 6km) if you want to burn off some excess energy. Poolbeg Lighthouse offers spectacular panoramic views of Dublin Bay, Dun Laoghaire, and Howth.
