The top 6 places to enjoy takeaway brunch in Dublin

For the past year, we’ve been deprived of delicious restaurant food, sitting in cafes with friends and gourmet brunches. Eating out in Dublin is not only a huge part of our economy, it’s a great part of the culture of the city and we can’t wait for its return. Until then, Dublin delivery, take-away and click & collect menus have really upped their game. Whether there are restrictions in place, you love enjoying lunch al fresco or you want to make the most of the space and facilities in your serviced apartment in Ballsbridge, here are some of the finest take-away brunch spots in the Dublin.

The Orange Goat

A neighbour of PREMIER SUITES Ballsbridge and a favourite of both staff and guests, The Orange Goat has been a very welcome part of the community since 2016. The have a huge selection of sandwiches, perfect for picnics in the neighbouring Herbert Park or to take back to your suite and enjoy in peace. They have a great breakfast menu too, ranging from a filling bowl of porridge to an indulgent smoked salmon and avocado bagel. They use the finest, freshest ingredients and you can taste the passion and hard work that goes into their food. Most importantly, they use delicious Cloud picker Coffee –perfect for a morning or mid-day pick-me-up.

Emer’s Kitchen

A favourite of staff and guests who are lucky enough to visit, Emer’s Kitchen has become a lunch favourite on Leeson Street. Their sumptuous daily sandwich, selection of three fresh salads and a filling brunch option every day convinces you that healthy food really can be delicious. Their generous portions, reasonable prices and unfalteringly friendly service makes them a true gem on the Dublin Brunch scene. They have limited opening hours at the moment and queues are usually quite long but don’t let that fool you. Service is fast and efficient and you’ll be back in your home from home enjoying a delicious salad & sandwich combo before you know it.

Brother Hubbard South

Since it opened in 2014, Brother Hubbard has become a household name for brunch in the city. This cool and cosy independent café now has two locations on either side of the city (soon to add a third) and are always busy for dine-in and take away. Their menus include seasonal lunches, delicious breakfasts, homemade soup and their mouth-watering sausage rolls. A highlight on the menu is their selection of high-end home baking, with plate-sized croissants and pastries keeping people customers coming back for more. A gem on the brunch scene in the city.

L’Gueuleton

Lovers of French cuisine, rejoice. After briefly closing due to restrictions, Brunch at L’Gueuleton
is back and better than ever. A forever favourite for both lunch and dinner on Dublin’s affluent South Side, L’Gueuleton has made a name for itself for its friendly service, delicious food and gorgeous decor. They have put a Parisian twist on a Chinese spice bag and for €15 for two people you’ll get crispy potatoes with confit duck, onions, peppers and fried duck eggs. If that isn’t the perfect take-away brunch, we don’t know what is! They also have a great selection of egg-based brunches and their coffee is excellent.

Fowl Play At The Square Ball

If you are a lover of fried chicken (and honestly, who isn’t!) you can enjoy a feast for two from a
friendly watering hole in the city called The Square Ball. Once a hipsters paradise serving a great selection of craft beers and board games, The Square Ball have altered their business to survive the pandemic and are now serving an excellent take-away brunch with a twist. Their in-house catering service Fowl Play are offering a great Brunch deal; including starters, mains, sides, a bottle of Prosecco and orange juice for just €60 for two. In true Square Ball style, there’s also a quiz and a toy included. They have a full menu to choose from and you can order this feast for take-away or delivery.

Alma

Another brunch spot that always gets a mention in food blogs in Dublin is Alma. This Argentinian-inspired cafe on South Circular Road is up there with the best, consistently delivering the very best quality food. We are especially fans of their unbelievable dulce de leche pancakes which are available in a kit to cook for yourself in the comfort of your fully equipped kitchen in PREMIER SUITES Dublin. They have a great selection for brunch, including their spruced up breakfast roll served on an organic tartine ciabatta. Their menus are available for takeaway and delivery on their website and if you don’t pre-order be prepared to wait.
