During winter period there are a lot of nice things to do in Rotterdam such as Christmas shopping in the famous Markthal, visiting the Martime Museum’s Christmas Show, shopping in the beautiful decorated Bijenkorff or going to a New Years concert in the Laurenskerk. During this time of year, the city has amazing Christmas decorations and at night all trees are beautifully lit.
You do need to consider that from the 1st of December reservations are required and mouth masks are mandatory in all public places. We have highlighted a few of our favorite winter activities for you:
Ice skating in Rotterdam
The famous Ice-skating Rink Rotterdam will open its doors again on Saturday 28 November! The skating rink welcomes all people (young and old, sporty and recreational). The skating rink is the best place to enjoy ice skating while having a nice day with family and friends. The Skating Rink is open daily from 08.00/09.00 until 22.30 hours. AYLA’S Christmas Market
Ayla is our next-door restaurant and they have opened a Christmas Market! There are Christmas trees, vintage baubles, hot drinks, good food and many other Ayla treats for your home during Christmas. They have selected the most beautiful Christmas trees, from small trees to large ones. So while enjoying a hot chocolate or a glühwein you can choose the perfect tree for your home. The market is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 20:00. All is outside, in front of Ayla at Kruisplein 153.
