Things to do in Liverpool in 2024

As soon as the days get longer and brighter, the Liverpool events scene gets busier. There are dozens of things to do in Liverpool no matter your tastes. In 2024, we are very excited about a once-off event happening in June. Liverpool is to host the naming ceremony for the brand-new cruise ship, Queen Anne. Thousands of people are expected on the Mersey Waterfront as the vessel makes its first voyage around the British Isles. Expect entertainment for all ages, music, festivities, food and more to mark this very special occasion. This year we’re also looking forward to events in Liverpool like Wicked at The Empire, Wirral Family Festival and The Ultimate Show at the Exhibition Centre.

If you’re lucky enough to be travelling as a family, there is plenty of choice for things to do in Liverpool to keep everyone entertained. Southport Flower Show on 15– 18th August has entertainment for all ages as well as spectacular floral displays. Music Festivals in Liverpool

Music is part of the heart and soul of Liverpool so it’s no surprise that musical events are abundant here every year. Things really heat up at the Baltic Festival with a fantastic lineup of music including house, techno, bass and much more on  31st May and 1st June. Reminiscence Festival on 7th September has an incredible lineup of throwback and new age dance hits and DJs to celebrate their 10th anniversary. We couldn’t mention music in Liverpool without a nod to our musical heroes at International Beatle Week, a celebration of all things Fab Four from 21st-27th August. In July, Sefton Park will be taken over for a 3-day music festival called In the Park Festival, with music and entertainment stretching across all genres.
