Local legends, Tranmere Rovers (‘who are they?’ – Does anyone else remember the milk ad?) are based in Birkenhead, a short skip across the Queensway Tunnell. Newly famous Wrexham AFC, owned by legends Rob McElhenny and Ryan Reynolds are just an hour away so you can catch a match and be home in time for tea.
