Pet Friendly Hotel Stays

If you have a long-term stay planned in Bristol, you probably have a checklist of things to check before you leave. You’ve asked a neighbour to water your plants, your heating and lights are set on a timer and your fridge is completely empty. But what about your beloved pet? How will you cope without your furry friend if you’re away for a whole month?

The Alternatives

You could leave Fido or Felix in a kennel for the duration you are away. This is very expensive with top care kennels charging up to €40 per night per dog! Kennels can also cause cats & dogs (as well as their owners) to become anxious & stressed and often contract the dreaded Kennel Cough.
You could ask a close neighbour to pop in and feed or walk your pet while you’re away. This means that apart from the hour or two your neighbour is with them; your pet is completely alone with no company at all. This can cause loneliness and separation anxiety in your pet and let’s be honest, we wouldn’t like to be left alone for so long either. You could also employ a cat or dog sitter to stay in your home while you are away. This means a stranger will be living in your home and charging you for the privilege, something we wouldn’t like the idea of.

The Solution

Take your animal with you. In PREMIER SUITES Bristol, we want to make our long stay guests feel completely at home. Home for us is where our animals are, and our pet-friendly policy aims to make our suites feel more like home. If you can transport your pet safety, we would love for you both to join us in our stylish and comfortable suites. This doesn’t only go for furry friends; your more unusual pets are also welcome as long as they can be safely stored/contained.

The Benefits

Being separated from your pet can be a stressful and worrisome time for you both. It can be very upsetting for your pet, not knowing where its beloved owner is and if they will return at all. You can prevent separation anxiety for both of you by travelling together. If your pet is unwell, elderly or needs special medical attention or medicine, you can be sure they are getting the best care available from you, rather than leaving it in the hands of a well-meaning neighbour or friend. Although we do charge extra for having your pet stay with you (mostly for the deep cleaning after, in case another guest is allergic to pet hair) we are definitely a more cost-effective alternative to a sitter or a kennel.
We want all of our guests to feel like we are a home away from home for them, especially when staying for a longer term.

Send us an email to learn more about our terms and conditions and to book a stay for both of you.
