We are happy to take you on a bike ride along the port of Antwerp to discover the best hotspots! The bike tour we have mapped out is 10-12 km long and does not contain any bridges.
In the morning – afternoon
We depart from PREMIER SUITES PLUS Antwerp. The shopaholics among us can make a stop in THE shopping street of Antwerp “De Meir” during the morning or in its side streets for the more exclusive boutiques.
After shopping we leave via the new “Leien” – with a pleasant wide cycle path – towards ‘het Eilandje’. Along the way you will see the Opera on your right. ‘Het Eilandje’ is seen as the beginning of the Harbor, it has a beautiful marina (also nice to walk around) surrounded by a variety of cozy restaurants, including BLEND. At Blend you can enjoy a funky atmosphere in combination with the fantastic hospitality of the enthusiastic couple Kim & Wim. At Blend you can enjoy delicious homemade lunch dishes and our guests get a free homemade cake when buying a lunch with a drink, it’s delicious! To get a delicious piece of cake, you only have to show your hotel key card.

In the afternoon
After lunch you can continue towards the Havenhuis , a real eyecatcher! Just beautiful and very impressive to look at. Harbor house address: Zaha Hadidplein 1 – Antwerp You can also book individual tours.
Near the Harbor House there is a beautiful piece of green on “North Castle”, you can cycle around the pond and you have a beautiful view over the city. Until late 1960s it was the favorite place of many Sinjoren (the name for the locals) for whom a summer vacation was too expensive. You can also find a piece of ramparts from the former fort.
When driving back towards Antwerp and ‘De Schelde Kaai’, you will also come across the Red Star Line museum on your left. The Red Star Line Museum is made up of stories of people who have traveled to America or Canada with the ships of the shipping company and those who prefer to spend the evening in this area can cycle back a little. The museum is definitely worth a visit, but don’t forget to book .
In the late afternoon – evening
Now we ride to one of the summer bars at Bocadero, it has something for everyone: a large beach, beach bar, The Frieterij and La Cantina for big and small hunger, four unique restaurants and an aperitif bar. All located at Rijnkai 150.
And… before cycling back to the hotel, be sure to watch the sunset, from the Scheldt bend at 5 minutes from Bocadero: Sloepenweg, 2030 Antwerp-North.
There are even sun loungers for extra enjoyment! Enjoy the moment! From there you can cycle back to the hotel in fifteen minutes.
