Keukenhof Flower Festival
Taking place from 23 March to 14 May, the Keukenhof Flower display is a specular event for anyone visiting Amsterdam during this time. Visit the 32 hectare garden, filled with around eight million types of tulips and other flowers from narcissi, daffodils and hyacinths, bluebells, crocuses, lilies, amaryllis, and many other types of flowers. The Holland Festival
From 29 May until 23 June, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Den Haag, join forces to create a festival filled with musical, theatre, film, dance and much more to create the largest international performing arts festival, the Holland Festival. Artists from all over the world will show artistic innovation and experimentation in ground-breaking pieces performed nowhere else in the Netherlands. You will find talks, debates, masterclasses, presentations, meet and greet of artists, many indoor and outdoor events for you to choose from.
KunstRAI Art Amsterdam
Longest running art fair in the Netherlands, this event takes place 3 May until May 7. Here you will get the opportunity to gaze your eyes upon the latest and extraordinary contemporary art from local artists. From media pieces, new media art, sculptures, photography, every form of art can be viewed and bought here. There is also new exhibitions and galleries, including an area of booths ser aside for solo artists. General admission starts from €15, and children under 12 years of age, get access for free.
North Sea Jazz Festival
The largest indoor music festival in the world, the North Sea Jazz festival should be a must on your list. This is a three-day programme carried with the best Rotterdam jazz, such as blues, soul, funk, hip hop, world, pop and much more. There are over 300 converts that are scattered around 100 locations in the city, a great chance to explore the city and discover new favourite artists. This event takes place, from July 7th –9th.
