1. Plaswijckpark
Plaswijckpark is a really nice play and water park in Rotterdam. There is everything from zip wires to a fun car track to drive around. You can take small peddle boats out on to the lake or play inside at the large ball park.
2. De ontdekhoek
This interactive museum is for children aged 4 – 14 and has a large workshop area where you can experiment and join endless activities.
3. Kids Marina
This is a really cool activity to do with kids. Just outside the Maritime Museum there is a little harbour where children can jump on a variety of boats, from police boats to water taxis, and steer around. It’s a safe activity for all ages and gives a nice twenty minutes of fun.
4. Maritime Museum
The Maritime Museum has permanent exhibitions but also got its special events. You can get information about the history of the Netherlands, particularly the role of Rotterdam. The museum is located in a historic part of the city’s port and it’s a great place for kids to learn more about the country’s past. There’s also an amazing play area on the top floor.
5. Miniworld Rotterdam
Miniworld is an absolutely incredible place – you can see all the major sights of the Netherlands in miniature.
6. Rotterdam Zoo (Diergaarde Blijdorp)
Blijdorp is widely recognised as one of the most beautiful zoos in Europe, with plenty things to do. Blijdorp is a home to giraffes, gorillas, polar bears and many more animals, all of which have their own unique habitat. There is a spacious playground for the children and for the adults there is a nice restaurant to eat and relax.
7. Splash tour
The Splashtour bus is a great way to see the city – a bright yellow amphibian bus which drives around the main sights before splashing in to the River Maas and turning in to a boat. The 60 minute tour will be a big hit with all ages, you can even have lunch or afternoon tea on board.
8. Pancake Boat
What’s not to love about a pancake boat? Get on board and take a trip around the canals of Rotterdam while helping yourself to an endless supply of pancakes and toppings. We always recommend to make reservations. There are also nice packages to book.
9. Fun Forest
Fun Forest is a climbing park with 8 different courses set amongst the trees and ranging in difficulty. There’s a free play wood for under 8s.
10. Rotterdam Hop On Hop Off Buss
