Visit Euromast

The Euromast is one of the most iconic Rotterdam highlights and is unique in so many ways. It’s an iconic part of the Rotterdam skyline and offers some of the most beautiful views of the entire city. Take the hand of the person you love and take the lift to the top of the building, experiencing the city from a unique perspective. While you’re there you can enjoy an excellent brunch, lunch, high tea, or dinner in Rotterdam or simply enjoy a glass of wine among the clouds. If you’re a daredevil couple, you can even use a rope and abseil back to the ground! It’s a truly romantic experience that should be experienced by all visitors to Rotterdam.

Boat tour on the Maas

What could be more romantic than exploring a city with the person you love from the comfort of a luxury boat? During a regular boat tour, you’ll see the sights of Rotterdam from a unique perspective on the water. If you want to treat your other half, you can even arrange a private tour on a beautiful mahogany pleasure yacht. It’s the perfect backdrop for a romantic date or to pop that all-important question! The private charter can hold between 2-4 people and the cost includes Hors-d’oeuvres, French Champagne and non-alcoholic beverages. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share with the love of your life.

Dining in Rotterdam

If, like us, the highlight of any trip is the food, Rotterdam is a great choice. Close to our serviced apartments in Rotterdam lies one of the most famous and impressive dining options in The Netherlands. Markthal is packed with excellent casual places to eat or buy food to take home and the floor-to-ceiling art is magnificent. For something a little more upmarket, you can book a table at Park Heuvel, a prestigious Rotterdam restaurant that has been awarded two Michelin stars. The menu features some of the city’s best chefs-selected dishes including oysters, snails, Wagyu beef, goose liver and bresse chicken. There are plenty of dining options I between; our team are happy to recommend something to your taste and budget.

Rotterdam Zoo

For an alternative date idea, Rotterdam Zoo is a great option. It’s located in the northwestern part of Rotterdam, about a 30-minute walk through mostly green space. It’s one of the oldest zoos in the Netherlands and is divided into several zoogeographic regions. The 26-hectare Blijdorp Zoo boasts 562 species all well-tended. The conservation effort here supports wild populations of elephants, red pandas, Indian rhinos, and polar bears. Wander through different continents where you will see fascinating animals from all over the globe. It opens every day and is easily accessible by road, on foot or by public transport.

Visit Delfshaven

Delfshaven is a charming place for travellers, particularly history enthusiasts. It’s a unique look at Rotterdam’s past and a very charming town to visit with your loved one.  Roam the cobbled, boat-lined quaysides flanked with 17th-century buildings. Enjoy antique shops and galleries, and discover highlights such as the 18th-century Delfshaven windmill, De Pelgrim brewery, Pilgrim Fathers’ Church, and Museum De Delft – a window into Delfshaven’s shipbuilding and maritime heritage. The area is often included in Rotterdam tours which also include a quayside walk, the Cube Houses and Market Hall. You can also cycle along the windmill-dotted Kinderdijk if you have some extra time. Delfshaven lies west of Rotterdam’s Het Park and is easily accessible on foot and by public transport.
