We're going green to keep our planet clean
We strive to reduce pollution to its lowest practicable level and are committed to comply with all relevant legislation and associated guidance.
We monitor and manage environmental performance in our operations through environmental risk assessments. Operating procedures and controls are developed through this process to reduce any risks to the environment to the lowest level practicable. Reviews of environmental performance are built in to regular health and safety inspections and audits.
All waste represents an inefficient use of resources and energy. We try to reduce the quantity of waste generated and regularly review routes whereby waste can be eliminated or reduced or recycled.
The Company promotes the efficient use of energy by its staff through the use of energy surveys, improved housekeeping, control of processes and the efficient use of service engineer resources.
Our staff, when planning work will try to keep all potential impacts on the environment such as noise, dust, smells or fumes to a minimum.
All wastes will be disposed of responsibly. Our staff will ensure they comply with all the waste disposal requirements.
The company believes that awareness and knowledge of environmental issues is an important part of the process of effective environmental management. Therefore it is our objective to provide suitable information and training to our employees to ensure they are able to make informed decisions.

What we are doing
Reducing our impact on the environment
Guest Communication
We share our sustainability journey with our guests, corporate companies and agents. We also ask for their support and this is communicated to our guests on the Pre-arrival information they receive and our social media channels.
Maintenance & cleaning
All vacant apartments are shut down where possible. We encourage guests to turn off the lights and heating when out of the apartment to save electricitty.
Growing Our Own
We supply fresh herbs in reception for our guests to use in cooking.
Our People
The Eureka training platform is utilised for training. All team members are focused on their personal footprint and recycling in house whenever possible.
Transportation
We promote our excellent local transport systems and there are also bike racks and electric charging points 0.2 miles from our property.
Operations
We encourage our guests to use their own water bottles and refill them at reception where we have filtered water. Newcastle City council extract all recyclable items from the skips therefore there is no need for our guests to separate their items. Any paper that is used is recycled as well as printer cartridges.
Our Building
Home away from home
Our Building is double glazed to prevent heat escaping. The public corridors are partly censored and not heated to assist with reducing our energy consumption. All light bulbs in the apartments are energy efficient.
Our Suppliers
Team work
When buying long stay hampers, we always use local markets and supermarkets close to site, so we don’t need to drive.
Charity Events
Get involved
PREMIER SUITES Newcastle have participated in the Ukraine Funding Scheme and encouraged customers to donate. We have supported a National charity campaign for Stand With Ukraine. PREMIER SUITES Newcastle have also made donations to Asap Action Hospitality and donate any unopened food left by the guests to UCKG food bank.
We also support “Beyond the Moon”, an organisation that looks after family holidays for families that have (terminally) ill children or a child with physical disabilities. Their situation often implies that they need extra care during a vacation which often is very expensive. Beyond the moon raises funds to support those families.
Community Work
Working together
We clean our local area everyday and support NE1 clean team, to help keep our environment clean.
