It is an interactive museum that informs you about everything and anything about chocolate in an engaging and fun way. It is located within walking distance of PREMIER SUITES PLUS Antwerp.
After being immersed in the world of chocolate, it is time to go for that other Belgian delicacy: beer. Breweries can be found all over Belgium. In the smallest villages, but also in the big cities. One of the best known breweries in Antwerp is ‘De Koninick’ with its famous ‘Bolleke’. The brewery is located just outside the city center and offers a nice brewery tour. You can do the tour without a guide, at your own pace. Before and after the tour you can enjoy a delicious draught beer.
Not tasted enough yet? At the brewery there is a very nice cafe where the people behind the bar have lots of tasty beers to offer before you have to go home again.
Day Three
Antwerp is the gateway to Europe and has a gigantic port. Goods are shipped in and out from all over the world. It is an economic hub that has created much wealth within the city. A boat tour of this gigantic harbor is therefore a real must-do in the city.
The tour usually lasts a few hours but time flies as you are captivated by the view and know-how of the city. The friendly tour guides talk about the different companies in the port, their history and operation.
After a few hours of sailing through the port, you can go to the big orange building that you undoubtedly already passed throughout your journey. This building is called the MAS or ‘Museum Aan de Stroom’ which is translated to ‘Museum At the Stream’. The building holds various exhibitions and has a delicious restaurant on the top floor. You have free access to the roof of the building where you can admire Antwerp and soak in your trip.
