We're going green to keep our planet clean
We strive to reduce pollution to its lowest practicable level and are committed to comply with all relevant legislation and associated guidance.
We monitor and manage environmental performance in our operations through environmental risk assessments. Operating procedures and controls are developed through this process to reduce any risks to the environment to the lowest level practicable. Reviews of environmental performance are built in to regular health and safety inspections and audits.
All waste represents an inefficient use of resources and energy. We try to reduce the quantity of waste generated and regularly review routes whereby waste can be eliminated or reduced or recycled.
The Company promotes the efficient use of energy by its staff through the use of energy surveys, improved housekeeping, control of processes and the efficient use of service engineer resources.
Our staff, when planning work will try to keep all potential impacts on the environment such as noise, dust, smells or fumes to a minimum.
All wastes will be disposed of responsibly. Our staff will ensure they comply with all the waste disposal requirements.
The company believes that awareness and knowledge of environmental issues is an important part of the process of effective environmental management. Therefore it is our objective to provide suitable information and training to our employees to ensure they are able to make informed decisions.

A Sustainable Hotel
We are very proud of our Certification with Green Key, the leading standard for excellence in environmental responsibility and sustainable operation within the tourism industry. This prestigious eco-label represents our commitment that our premises adhere to the strict criteria set by the Foundation for Environmental Education. A Green Key stands for a promise to our guests that we helping to make a difference on an environmental level. The high environmental standards expected at PREMIER SUITES Antwerp are maintained through rigorous documentation and frequent audits.
What we are doing
Reducing our impact on the environment
Guest Communication
We communicate our Green Key partnership and Golden certificate through our website and social media. We ask our guests to recycle and separate their waste.
Maintenance & cleaning
Our cleaning products are all biodegradable and are all environment friendly certificated. All of the apartments have kill switches to avoid unneeded utility use.
Growing Our Own
PREMIER SUITES does not offer full Food and Beverage services as all of our apartments are equipped with fully functional kitchens. We offer “Homegrown Greens”, a planter filled with herbs and spices, like red pepper, for our guests to use and spice up their own culinary masterpieces.
Our People
We have a dedicated Green Key team in all of our properties. They look after the CSR standard for the property and communicate our actions and achievements to the rest of the team through presentations.
Transportation
We offer cycling routes and running maps available at reception and in our wellbeing corner. We offer exercise videos and free entrance to our professional in-house gym, to guests and team members.
Operations
We select our suppliers locally, if possible, to reduce transportation distance. We also try to buy in bulk to reduce packaging. We’ve replaced single use bathroom amenities for dispenser bottles which reduced waste immediately. We don’t use plastic cups, straws or anything plastic, instead we use biodegradable products.

We accept that our activities may impact on the environment and understand that by making positive changes we can all reduce our impact on the environment.
Our property is making positive changes by:
- Implementing a guest environmental charter.
- Following our brand sustainability actions.
- Key card-activated electricity in the majority of the rooms.
- Heating systems are turned off after check-out.
- Sensored lighting.

We accept that our activities may impact on the environment and understand that by making positive changes we can all reduce our impact on the environment.
Since PREMIER SUITES has multiple properties we also try to buy in bulk for multiple properties to reduce costs, transportation and packaging.

Eco-friendly alternatives
We encourage our guests to use eco-friendly alternatives such as public transport, walking or biking to reach their destination. Our property is just a 3 minute walk from Antwerp’s Central Station, making traveling by train even more convenient.
Charity Events
Get involved
We support “Beyond the Moon”, an organisation that looks after family holidays for families that have a (terminally) ill children or a child with physical disabilities. Their situation often implies that they need extra care during a vacation which often is very expensive. Beyond the moon raises funds to support those families.
