Nadat u uw ontbijt heeft gehad bent u klaar om Edinburgh te verkennen, begin met een wandeling naar Arthur's Seateen uitgedoofde vulkaan die ongeveer 340 miljoen jaar geleden uitbarstte. Hier kunt u genieten van een prachtig uitzicht over de stad en een goed bewaard gebleven fort zien, een van de 4 forten van 2000 jaar geleden. U vindt er ook het Palace of Holyrood House (de residentie van de koning in Edinburgh) en de gebouwen van het Schotse parlement.

Als je eenmaal de top van Arthur's Seat hebt bereikt, is het tijd om terug te gaan voor een lunch in het City Restaurant. They offer a click & collect service if you prefer to keep going or you can dine in also. Here you can expect great comfort food to get you energised again for the day!

It’s time to revisit your inner child by visiting the Museum of Childhood. Here you will find toys, games, clothes, books and much more dating from the 1800s to the present day. This is a great place to visit to show the kids the toys that existed back then and compared to now. It is also a free entry museum so no need to book in advance.

There are 4 gardens across Scotland and are home to one of the largest and richest plant collections on Earth. Certainly a statement which they can back up with over 13,500 species build up over centuries.

For dinner and evening entertainment, head to Nok’s Asian Food & Bar on Morrison Street, just a 4-minute walk away, for delicious Asian cuisine. Alternatively, enjoy the Hard Rock Café Edinburgh, only a 20-minute walk or 13-minute taxi ride, where you can savor classic dishes, cocktails, and live music in an iconic setting.

Camera Obscura & World of Illusions is one to enjoy for everyone. Here you can experience over 100 interactive exhibits, as well as a breath of fresh air on their magnificent rooftop terrace which by the way is a great chance to get some stunning photos. Discover 5 floors of hands on optical illusions, tricks and fun things to do.

Voordat je op weg gaat naar je vlucht, kun je bijtanken in Amber Restaurant, op een steenworp afstand, waar traditionele Schotse gerechten met proefmenu's en een whiskybar worden geserveerd. Ga voor koffie naar Loudons of Loudons - Fountainbridge, op slechts 2 minuten lopen, waar je terecht kunt voor ontbijt, brunch en lunch.
