We strive to reduce pollution to its lowest practicable level and are committed to comply with all relevant legislation and associated guidance.
We monitor and manage environmental performance in our operations through environmental risk assessments. Operating procedures and controls are developed through this process to reduce any risks to the environment to the lowest level practicable. Reviews of environmental performance are built in to regular health and safety inspections and audits.
All waste represents an inefficient use of resources and energy. We try to reduce the quantity of waste generated and regularly review routes whereby waste can be eliminated or reduced or recycled.
The Company promotes the efficient use of energy by its staff through the use of energy surveys, improved housekeeping, control of processes and the efficient use of service engineer resources.
Our staff, when planning work will try to keep all potential impacts on the environment such as noise, dust, smells or fumes to a minimum.
All wastes will be disposed of responsibly. Our staff will ensure they comply with all the waste disposal requirements.

At PREMIER SUITES Edinburgh we encourage you to share our Green Journey using some of the following steps.
- Use local transport options or walk in the city
- Recycle using our refuse options in your apartment
- Use a refillable cup and top up from our filtered water tap in reception
- Hang towels up to dry naturally rather than requesting new ones
- Should you have any further ideas, we would be delighted to listen.
Maintenance & cleaning
At PREMIER SUITES Edinburgh the staff and cleaning personnel have a system in place to regularly check for dripping taps and leaky toilets. After your service clean, we will turn off all equipment to conserve energy, we encourage you to do also.

Our People
At PREMIER SUITES Edinburgh, we’ve got a Green Team, which includes management and key staff. The team meets regularly to develop the action plan, set targets and review progress.
Transportation
As our team members live local, we all use public transport, walking or cycling to commute in and out of work. We have 4 parking bays for EV charging and bicycle parking is also available.
Operations
PREMIER SUITES Edinburgh sustainability strategy is driven by a wide range of initiatives to reduce environmental impacts, including the reduction of single-use plastics.
- We use a soap / shower dispenser which is refillable.
- We encourage you to try our Scottish water direct from the tap or use our filtered water tap in reception.
- Don’t forget your reusable cup when out and about.
- When leaving your apartment, remember to turn off all electronic devices to conserve energy
- Use our recycle options in the rubbish bins
Sustainable Travel
Low Emission Zones
In June, Edinburgh will embark on a significant environmental initiative with the introduction of low emission zones (LEZs). These zones are designed to improve air quality by restricting access to vehicles that produce high levels of pollutants. By implementing LEZs, Edinburgh aims to mitigate the harmful effects of air pollution, particularly in densely populated areas and around sensitive locations such as schools and hospitals

Low Emission Transport Options
Edinburgh is a great place for walking around. Local maps are available at the reception desk. We have local and national bus services, tram and trainlines all within half a mile or less of the apartments, ask at reception for further information.
Our Building
95% of PREMIER SUITES Edinburgh lighting is LED. Our apartment combi boilers allow you to control your hot water and heating controls in your apartment. As they were installed in 2023 they are energy efficient and serviced annually.
Our Suppliers
PREMIER SUITES Edinburgh have a green policy which means we try our best to select suppliers, services, products, consumables, and other materials that are as Eco-friendly as possible, recycled and produced by a company with an environmental management system.
Charity Events
We support “Beyond the Moon”, an organisation that looks after family holidays for families that have terminally ill children or a child with physical disabilities. Their situation often implies that they need extra care during a vacation which often is very expensive. Beyond the moon raises funds to support those families.
PREMIER SUITES Edinburgh also have participated in Save the Children charitable activities and encouraged our customers to join in and donate.
