Three Days in Rotterdam

Day One

Arriving into Rotterdam is best done by train. PREMIER SUITES PLUS Rotterdam is located next to the train station so you are there in no time. Check-in at our reception and discover your modern apartment with a view over Rotterdam.
Rotterdam is a city that is always on the move and where all kinds of different cultures have come together over the years.  This will make your trip very interesting and exciting.

The Netherlands have always been a country of cycling. Why not rent a bike at our reception and start your wheely exciting adventure. Everywhere in Holland, there are great cycling facilities on the public roads so you are sure to be safe. We recommend you download ‘Fietsroute Rotterdam App’ and let this app guide you through the city. Super convenient and for free!

Day Two

Today, you will have the time to experience some of the city’s culture. Rotterdam has a huge history due to its stories of the second world war and its port. It is definately worthwhile to learn something about this during your trip to Rotterdam.
Therefore, we take you to Museum Rotterdam ’40 – ’45 NU. During the Second World War, Rotterdam was almost destroyed. It left deep scars over the city and its people. The museum offers visitors personal stories and intriguing images. It leaves an impression behind when visiting this museum.

After the impressive information you received at Museum Rotterdam ’40 – ’45 NU, it is time for something else. Rotterdam is seen as a real open-air museum and you can see this in the many street arts that have found their place in the city. We recommend you download the app ‘Rewinders’ and choose a route that suits you best. Many local and international artists have left their work throughout the inner city of Amsterdam. This way you can learn more about street art and the artists as well as the city.

Day Three

For a perfect closure of your trip, you must of course have been on the water of Rotterdam. It is a city surrounded by water so that seems only logical to do. What if you take a bus through the water? In Rotterdam, you can follow a splash tour with a guide. This splash tour is performed by an amphibious bus. You ‘splash’ with a bus in the water and it sails with you through the waters of the city. Everything is of course commented by an experienced guide!

Afterwards, we suggest to take a last walk through the beautiful city center. The ‘Koopgoot’ for example is a perfect street to do some shopping. Cars are not allowed so you can safely enjoy your last shopping. And to end your trip in a perfect way: find yourself a nice terrace and have a great beer with some “bitterballen”.
