Christmas in Reading brings office parties, team dinners and a chance to enjoy some time away from your desk. At PREMIER SUITES Reading, you can combine your work commitments with a festive break, with town centre apartments close to local restaurants, bars and shops.

Planning a Thursday or Friday Christmas party? Give yourself somewhere to get ready and return to afterwards. Our serviced apartments offer space to relax, while our restaurant partners give you more reasons to dine locally.

You can also save 10% on your stay with code XMAS10, with no minimum stay required. Book for one night after your office celebration or stay longer and make a weekend of it.

Stay Over After Your Christmas Office Party

Your Christmas party is a chance to catch up with colleagues away from meetings, emails and deadlines. Booking accommodation means you can enjoy the evening without planning everything around the last train home.

A Thursday night stay gives you a base for your team celebration before heading back to work the next morning. Arrive, get ready in your apartment and head out for dinner or your office event.

If your party falls on a Friday, use it as the starting point for a weekend in Reading. Spend the evening with colleagues, then leave Saturday free for Christmas shopping, lunch or a visit to London.

For anyone organising accommodation for visiting colleagues, having everyone based in one property can also make plans easier. Speak to our team about availability for your dates and the apartment options that suit your group.

Share an Apartment and Split the Cost

Travelling with a colleague or friend? Our two bedroom apartments let you share the accommodation cost while having separate bedrooms.

You can get ready for the evening, catch up over a coffee and spend time together without sharing a bedroom. It is an option worth considering for colleagues attending the same Christmas party or friends meeting in Reading for a festive night out.

Rather than booking separate rooms, compare the cost of a two bedroom apartment for your dates. Sharing can help you make more of your budget, leaving room for dinner, shopping or another night away.

Corporate Stays With Time to Switch Off

December often means fitting client meetings, team events and end of year catch ups into an already full calendar. Staying in Reading lets you bring those plans together without travelling back and forth each day.

Use your apartment as a base for business commitments, then make time for something outside work. Meet a colleague for dinner, browse the shops or take an evening walk through town.

If you are visiting for a corporate event, consider arriving the night before or extending your stay afterwards. You can keep the work part of your trip organised while giving yourself time to enjoy Reading at Christmas.

Dine Locally With Our Restaurant Partners

Staying at PREMIER SUITES Reading gives you access to discounts at selected restaurant partners. From a meal before your office party to dinner the following evening, there are options to suit different plans.

Some of our partners include:

Explore Christmas in Reading

There is plenty of reason to leave some free time around your office party. Reading’s Christmas lights switch on is planned for 14 November, marking the start of the festive season in the town centre. Combine a visit with shopping and dinner, or book a Friday stay and enjoy the celebrations on Saturday.

The Illuminate winter light trail through Forbury Gardens and the Abbey Ruins is also returning this winter. It offers a way to see these historic surroundings after dark, with illuminated displays along the route.

Make it part of an evening with friends or visit after your working day. Dates and ticket details for the 2026 trail are still to be announced, so check the programme before planning your visit.

For Christmas shopping, spend some time around The Oracle and the town centre. Pick up gifts, stop for lunch and enjoy a day without having to fit everything around work.

Add a Day in London

A stay in Reading also gives you the option of visiting London. Fast trains reach London Paddington in approximately 25 minutes, depending on the service.

Finish your Friday commitments, stay overnight and head to London on Saturday for shopping, Christmas lights or a theatre visit. You can combine a corporate stay in Reading with a day out in the capital, then return to your apartment that evening.

Check train times before travelling, particularly around weekends and Christmas, when timetables may change.

Flexible Arrivals and Parking

Your arrival does not have to fit around reception opening hours. With 24 hour contactless arrival available from the standard check in time of 3pm, you can arrive later using the instructions supplied before your stay.

Let our team know your expected arrival time and have your access instructions ready before you travel.

Driving to Reading? Secure underground parking is available at an additional charge, subject to availability. Reserve your space ahead of arrival and speak to our team about vehicle access. Minster Street has access restrictions, and arrangements outside permitted hours require advance notice.
