Environmental Sustainability
Working towards a greener world
PREMIER SUITES Bristol Redcliffe Environmental Sustainability
We're going green to keep our planet clean
We strive to reduce pollution to its lowest practicable level and are committed to comply with all relevant legislation and associated guidance.
We monitor and manage environmental performance in our operations through environmental risk assessments. Operating procedures and controls are developed through this process to reduce any risks to the environment to the lowest level practicable. Reviews of environmental performance are built in to regular health and safety inspections and audits.
All waste represents an inefficient use of resources and energy. We try to reduce the quantity of waste generated and regularly review routes whereby waste can be eliminated or reduced or recycled.
The Company promotes the efficient use of energy by its staff through the use of energy surveys, improved housekeeping, control of processes and the efficient use of service engineer resources.
Our staff, when planning work will try to keep all potential impacts on the environment such as noise, dust, smells or fumes to a minimum.
All wastes will be disposed of responsibly. Our staff will ensure they comply with all the waste disposal requirements.
The company believes that awareness and knowledge of environmental issues is an important part of the process of effective environmental management. Therefore it is our objective to provide suitable information and training to our employees to ensure they are able to make informed decisions.

Reducing our impact on the environment
Guest Communication
We display our initiatives on our website for guests to see. We also actively promote our green journey through guest communication and on our social media channels.
Maintenance & cleaning
All lights and appliances are switched off when the apartment is vacant. We also encourage guests to think before they leave and ensure lights and heating are turned off when they are not in the apartment.
Growing Our Own
We offer “Homegrown Greens”, a planter filled with herbs and spices, like red pepper, for our guests to use and spice up their own culinary masterpieces.
Our People
We are currently in the process of enrolling with Green Tourism and all staff have been made aware of this. You can find our Green Policy on our website. Our sales Manager has also attended green & sustainability webinars hosting by the local destination office. The team regularly update their knowledge via our Eureka training website.
Transportation
We offer running maps in reception. There is a bike rack available within our shared car park area. We will be introducing Electric Charging Points in the future. We also work with the local hospitals promoting their free transport for visitors and patients.

Sustainable Travel
Navigating Bristol sustainably
Clean Air Zone
The Government has set legal limits for pollution and we have introduced a Clean Air Zone to ensure Bristol meets those limits within the shortest possible time. A Clean Air Zone is a specific location that aims to reduce public exposure to nitrogen dioxide through:
• restrictions on the highest polluting vehicles
• encouraging the use of cleaner vehicles
• encouraging people to walk, cycle or use public transports
To pay for your vehicle: Bristol's Clean Air Zone charges and vehicle checker (Can be done 6 days before travel, on the day of travel or 6 days after entering the zone).
Electrical Charging Points
Download the app, zapmap to find the nearest EV charging point to PREMIER SUITES Bristol.
E-Sccoter Hire
2,000 TIER e-scooters will be deployed initially, with the number increasing to 4,000 over time. Shared e-bikes will join the fleet shortly and cargo e-bikes will be available through the nextbike by TIER app by the end of the month.
Expanding the service to include e-bikes will mean even more people can access sustainable transport easily across our city, helping towards our net zero ambition and adding to the 10 million rides already taken in Bristol since the start of the scheme.
E-scooters and e-bikes cost 99p to unlock and then 16p per minute.
Bike Hire
If you’re looking to hire a bike in Bristol, the UK’s most-bike friendly city, we’re here to help. Since Cycle the City launched in 2012, we’ve helped thousands of people find brilliant local routes, landmarks and attractions on our bikes. Our hire bikes are lightweight hybrids, with plenty of gears and puncture-proof tyres. They’re quick, easy to ride and are great for Bristol’s hills, or just pottering around the city.
We are proud to use local business, Temple Cycles, for our hire fleet, which means our bikes are built right here in Bristol.
Bike hire bookings must be made using the online booking calendar or for on the day hire or last-minute availability, please call on 07713694301.
RATES:
Full day bike hire is £20 per bike, which includes a lock, helmet, repair kit and local maps. Hire is available from 10am – 5pm from our unit in Bristol city centre. For overnight hire, or multiple day hires, please contact by email.

Running/Cycle Maps
Discover the city's hidden gems and scenic routes with our comprehensive running and cycling map. Take in the sights and breathe in the fresh air. Maps are available from reception.
Bristol has no shortage of excellent cycling routes, providing options for all abilities. One mile from our home in the city centre is the Bristol to Bath Cycle Path, the original Sustrans route; it’s a 14 mile car-free path straight into the Georgian World Heritage City of Bath. Alternatively there’s great routes out to the seaside in Portishead, or if you’re feeling adventurous there’s Stonehenge and beyond.
Water Taxis
The Waterbus is Bristol’s favourite ferry service to get around the Harbour, serving seven conveniently located ferry stops: Temple Meads, Castle Park, City Centre, Wapping Wharf, ss Great Britain, Hotwells and The Cottage.
Operating daily April – September, just wave at the ferry to be picked up and pay for your ticket once you have boarded - single fares are available for those wishing to get from A to B, or a stay-on-board fare for those wanting to sit back and sightsee.
From October – March, the service operates Weekends and Bristol School Holidays only.
Our Building
Home away from home
Our property includes double glazed windows in all rooms and balcony doors. We have the heat in corridors turned off unless needed.
Our Suppliers
Team work
As a company we have suppliers across the board that we use; however we do recommend local eateries and businesses to our guests.
Charity Events
Get involved
We support “Beyond the Moon”, an organisation that looks after family holidays for families that have a (terminally) ill children or a child with physical disabilities. Their situation often implies that they need extra care during a vacation which often is very expensive. Beyond the moon raises funds to support those families.
We also locally donate any furniture and furnishings that we are not using and any property items that haven’t been claimed within a designated time frame.
Community Work
