We strive to reduce pollution to its lowest practicable level and are committed to complying with all relevant legislation and associated guidance.\u00a0We monitor and manage environmental performance in our operations through environmental risk assessments. Operating procedures and controls are developed through this process to reduce any risks to the environment to the lowest level practicable. Reviews of environmental performance are built into regular health and safety inspections and audits.<\/span><\/p>

All waste represents an inefficient use of resources and energy. We try to reduce the quantity of waste generated and regularly review routes whereby waste can be eliminated, reduced or recycled.\u00a0The Company promotes the efficient use of energy by its staff through the use of energy surveys, improved housekeeping, control of processes, and the efficient use of service engineer resources.\u00a0<\/span>Our staff, when planning work will try to keep all potential impacts on the environment such as noise, dust, smells or fumes to a minimum.\u00a0<\/span>All wastes will be disposed of responsibly. Our staff will ensure they comply with all the waste disposal requirements.<\/span><\/p>

We select our suppliers locally, if possible, to reduce transportation distance. We also try to buy in bulk to reduce packaging. We\u2019ve replaced single use bathroom amenities for dispenser bottles which reduced waste immediately. The BREEAM<\/a><\/strong> Excellence label has been awarded to the Hourglass building, which houses PREMIER SUITES Amsterdam, for its sustainable construction and operation standards and its social responsibility standards.<\/p>

The PREMIER SUITES Amsterdam hotel also holds an ISAAP<\/strong> <\/a>building accreditation (International Service Apartments Accreditation Programme), attesting to the quality and service standards it upholds.<\/p>

Our achievement of this label was facilitated by several key performance indicators, including superior insulation, electricity conservation through the use of light sensors and power cutters in all apartments, climate control throughout the building, efficient waste management practices, and transportation strategies such as offering rental bikes and installing ample bicycle racks. We also prioritize hiring local staff to minimize transportation needs.<\/p>

Our building features advanced technology such as a flood detector that prevents excessive water usage and a tourniquet that restricts the entry of heat or cold air into the lobby, thereby reducing energy usage. In addition, our ceiling lights are adjustable to ensure optimal illumination in each area, and we utilize a waste press instead of traditional waste roller containers to reduce the frequency of collections. This waste press is also equipped with an automatic sensor that notifies the processor when the container is nearly full, resulting in fewer collections.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
