It is a hotspot for every local. When the weather is nice, you can find the entire community here.\u00a0 Stroll between the stalls with fresh vegetables, fruit, fish, meat, \u2026 but also food stands with delicacies from all over the world.\u00a0 You can enjoy fresh shrimp croquettes with a glass of white wine or drop by the tapas stands that bring the best of Spain to the city. The perfect get away for a lovely and relaxing Saturday. The market starts at 8 am and closes around 4 pm.<\/p>\n<h2>Shopping<\/h2>\n<p>Of course, Antwerp remains the Belgian capital when it comes down to shopping. The Meir, the Huidevetterstraat, the Schuttershofstraat,\u2026 These are all places where the fashionista in you comes to life as you can shop there for any budget. The Schuttershofstraat is known for its designer shops and the Kloosterstraat is the place to be for boutique shops with vintage goodies. Why go to Milan if you have everything so close at hand?<\/p>\n<h2>The Quays<\/h2>\n<p>The Scheldt quays in Antwerp have been beautifully renovated. You can have a wonderful stroll along the waterfront and the promenade, the sunsets are absolutely stunning.<\/p>\n<h2>City walk<\/h2>\n<p>Visit Antwerp developed very nice city walks throughout different parts of the city. They have something to offer for everyone.\u00a0 What about a street art walk or a walk along the beautiful town houses in the Zurgenborg district? That is pure joy in spring for any age. Due to Covid restrictions, the zoo\u2019s indoor palaces remain closed for now but there is plenty of fun to be done outside. Go see the elephants, the flamingos, the lions\u2026 And let your little ones enjoy themselves at one of the large playgrounds! The Zoo is super easy to reach by train. Antwerp offers a wide variety of museums that exhibit contemporary art as well as classical art. Rubens remains undoubtedly the master of Antwerp and his work can be admired in the Rubenshuis. Or go to Maeyer Van den Berg, the only museum in the world that is protected by Unesco. For more contemporary art, you can visit the MAS, at the Eilandje, which hosts exhibitions of different artists throughout the year.
