While Line of Duty mostly filmed in Belfast, Series 6 used Birmingham city centre to double as an unnamed UK city. Walk through Colmore Row, the Jewellery Quarter, and the business district and you might recognise the backdrop from car chases, tense interviews, and bent copper drama.<\/p>\n

If you want to see one of the key filming sites, head to Birmingham City Library, which stands in as the headquarters of the fictional Central Police.<\/p>\n

This Town (2024)<\/h2>\n

Created by Steven Knight, the same man behind Peaky Blinders, This Town is a BBC drama focused on Birmingham\u2019s 1980s music scene.<\/p>\n

Filming took place across the city, with key scenes shot in local music venues, terraces, and suburbs. While some were purpose built, you can still wander around areas like Kings Heath, Digbeth, and Perry Barr, where much of the show was set.<\/p>\n

You might not expect it, but Kingsman The Golden Circle filmed some of its most memorable scenes at the Library of Birmingham.<\/p>\n

The library\u2019s modern architecture and sweeping rooftop views were used as the interior for the Statesman\u2019s US headquarters. It is free to enter and worth visiting even if you have never seen the film. Take the lift to the upper floors and get a bird\u2019s eye view of the city. Citizen Khan<\/h2>\n

This sitcom, centred on a self styled community leader in Sparkhill, is pure Birmingham. The show was filmed in and around Sparkhill and the surrounding suburbs, just south of the city centre.<\/p>\n

While it is not exactly a tourist trail, a walk around Sparkhill gives a feel for the show\u2019s setting. Vibrant, local, and full of personality. You will pass independent shops, curry houses, and community hubs that reflect the series’ charm.<\/p>\n
